Communication Tools is an exhibition hall designed by Acts and Pathway’s for the Suzhou International Design Week 2018. We began the creative process by reflecting on the concept of “communication”. We decided to anthropomorphize the works of the exhibition by switching their usual passive position of “being seen” into the role of actively “communicating” with the audience.
To achieve our goal we designed a set of booths in the form of chairs to transform the usual act of “looking” by the audience into a “face-to-face” form of “communication” with the exhibited works. Sitting down, the audience is able to interpret the artist’s intention in the work, this experience creates interest and reifies the theme of the exhibition.

《沟通的工具》是活络为2018苏州国际设计周操刀的展厅设计。我们从“沟通”这一概念出发，将展品拟人化，把展品从“被看”的位置转变为可以主动与观众“交流”的角色。
为此，活络设计了一套座椅形式的展台，用“面对面”的方式将观众“看”展转变为与展品“沟通”。坐下来之后，观众得以仔细品味展品的表达，这样的展览体验即创作出了趣味性也升华了展览的主题。
