“3983” is a project devoted to renovating the interior of a historical building.
Through in-depth research, we came up with three principles for the building’s renovation based on the different uses of the space over the last 100 years; 1. preserve – historic value, 2. enhance: the current way of life, 3. integrate – coexistence of the times. Acts and Pathway’s believes that history and the present moment deserve to be respected as far as the use of space is concerned.
Preserving the mark of life in every era is the way a historic building is able to remain in its proper state. Only when old buildings carry new life throughout the passage of time can they truly continue to “live” on.

《3983》是一个历史建筑室内改造项目。
活络通过调研总结出该建筑在过去100年间的空间使用变化，得出改造的原则：1.保留-历史的价值，2.提升-当下的生活，3.融合-时代的共存。活络认为就空间的使用而言，历史与当下都值得被尊重。
每一个时代的生活印记都以它合理的方式存留才是一栋历史建筑真正应有的状态。老的建筑能够随着时代的变化不断地承载新的生活，那么这样的建筑才会一直有生命，真正地“活“下去。
活络秉着这一理念，对建筑本身进行了严谨的分析，决定保留其最有时代价值的建筑主结构，即楼梯结构、楼层结构、开间结构。考虑到将有一个年轻的创意团体入驻，活络尽量打开了建筑内部能够打开的空间，如原楼梯间隔墙、主次卧隔墙。
