Hi Cloud is an interactive device that aims to change the attitude and social style of beverage consumption. Inspired by the formation of clouds, the form utilizes the gravitational flow of liquid to interlacing different straws from different sources providing participants with an opportunity to “explore unknown tastes”.

Instead of the usual fiber material to shape the clouds, Hi Cloud uses different sizes of white inflatable balls to simulate the abstract idea of a cloud while downplaying its concrete appearance. Participants can select different colored translucent silicone straws to drink from. Under gravitational pull, different kinds of alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages will pass down from the cloud into the straw through the straw creating a kind of “meandering flow of liquid”.

《嗨云》是一件互动装置，它的设计初衷是改变日常饮酒的姿态及其社交方式。作品灵感来自云朵，以水流和重力为关注点，活络通过交织来源不同的吸管从而为参与者增添“探索未知口味”的体验。在设计《嗨云》过程里，我们没有选用常见的丝状纤维材质等云朵造型，而是利用不同大小的白色充气球模拟抽象意义上的云，淡化具体的形象。使用者可以利用彩色半透明硅胶吸管吸允畅饮，不同种类的酒精和非酒精饮品将流经吸管，并在重力的牵引下穿梭在“云”间，制造出另一种意义上的“曲水流觞”。
