The City Glory of Suzhou Poster Exhibition was an exhibition that took place during the 2019 Suzhou International Design Week, which featured photographs from Suzhou’s urban landscapes and gardens. Acts and Pathway’s felt that the spatial design of the exhibition should resonate with the exhibited works. On the one hand, we sought to represent the value of nature and the humanities in the works, while on the other we hoped that the plants, the lighting, and the old architecture in the exhibition might stimulate the audience’s impression of Suzhou.
Following that thread, we decided to use bamboo, a symbol of unique humanistic significance in China. We incorporated the method “a new scene with each step” so typical of traditional Suzhou gardens. Acts and Pathway’s invited the audience to enjoy the photography exhibition in a bamboo forest.

《城市荣誉感海报展》是2019苏州国际设计周的一场展览，展品皆是关于苏州城市风貌和园林的摄影作品。活络认为空间和展览设计应当与这些作品相呼应，一方面要能映衬作品中的自然与人文价值观，另一方面，我们希望在展览中模拟植物、光影与老建筑交织的苏州印象。
我们顺应这一思考找到了竹子这一别具人文价值的象征物，并仿照苏州传统园林的“移步异景”法从而设计了展厅。活络邀请你在一片竹林中去欣赏摄影。
