The City Lounge is a piece of urban furniture embedded into the public space. Apart from its sedentary function, it is a direct response to the use of leisure space with the public sphere. The inspiration for its design comes from the idea of “offering people a comfortable and flexible public space in an urban environment”. The project has already been implemented in both Beijing and Suzhou.
Consistent with her sustained reflection on urban spaces, the “City Parlor” is Jia-Yin Wu’s continuation and amelioration of the concept first realized in her 2016 design, the “Hutong Folding Wall”.

《城市会客厅》，是一件内嵌在城市公共空间中的城市家具，它既有座的功能，也回应城市中闲置公共空间的如何利用及其可能性等问题。它的设计灵感源于活络对“如何提供给人们一个舒适、灵活的城市公共空间”这一命题的思考，该项目先后在北京、苏州两个城市进行了实地展出和测试，分别参加了北京国际设计周法源寺更新计划（2018）和第一届苏州国际设计周（2018）。
《城市会客厅》的概念也反映了活络创始合伙人——设计师吴佳音对城市空间的一贯关注，这件作品延续和发展了她2016年的设计作品《胡同折叠墙》的概念。
